Workers' Compensation Claims Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess compensability and/or coverage matters for lost time workers' compensation claims.

• Efficiently oversee a portfolio of lost time claims across various jurisdictions.

• Negotiate and manage settlements under the oversight of management.

• Collect medical and factual evidence to evaluate compensability.

• Supervise external investigations and manage litigation files within established authority.

• Coordinate and maintain communication with claimants and/or their attorneys, outside investigators, and rehabilitation professionals, along with regular contact with insured parties, account liaisons, and medical providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with an insurance carrier is mandatory.

• Proven experience managing claims across multiple jurisdictions, including TN, GA, NC, SC, and AL.

• A bachelor's degree is essential.

• Prior experience with a carrier is preferred.

• Background in handling lost time or litigated claims is necessary.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is required.

• Must demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
