This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Act as the main administrator for Workday Financials and the first point of contact for the Finance team, addressing and resolving configuration issues, user inquiries, and system questions with high responsiveness and quality.
• Identify and rectify Workday Financials configuration challenges across various modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to collect, document, and convert business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
• Assist in implementing enhancements, new feature launches, and process improvements in Workday Financials, overseeing everything from requirements gathering to testing and change management.
• Engage in Workday's semi-annual release cycles by reviewing release notes, evaluating functional impacts, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing the deployment process.
• Keep system documentation accurate and current, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training resources.
• Work alongside the broader Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional projects involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems.
• Partner with Finance leadership to support strategic goals such as process automation, reporting enhancements, and scalability initiatives linked to company growth.
• Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring that system modifications are implemented with the necessary controls, rigorous testing, and minimal disruption to financial operations.
• Oversee support tickets and project tasks through a structured intake and prioritization process, proactively communicating status and expectations to stakeholders.
• 3-5+ years of practical experience in Workday Financials configuration and support within a business analyst or functional analyst role.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the capability to independently configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security settings.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day Finance operations while simultaneously contributing to project-based efforts and strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities — adept at navigating competing priorities, managing expectations across Finance and IT, and communicating effectively at all organizational levels.
• Experience in conducting business requirements gathering, performing gap analysis, and drafting functional design documents.
• Solid grasp of fundamental finance and accounting principles (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and how they relate to Workday configuration.
• Highly organized, capable of juggling multiple active requests and projects concurrently in a fast-paced setting.
• A collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a history of building trusted relationships with Finance business partners.
