This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Act as the main administrator for Workday Financials and the primary support contact for the Finance team, effectively managing configuration issues, user inquiries, and system requests with a high level of responsiveness and quality.
• Identify and resolve configuration issues within Workday Financials across various modules, such as Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business needs into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
• Support and implement enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements in Workday Financials, overseeing the process from requirements through testing and change management.
• Engage in Workday's semi-annual release cycles — reviewing release notes, evaluating functional impact, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment.
• Ensure accurate and current system documentation is maintained, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
• Work alongside the Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional initiatives that involve Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to support strategic goals such as process automation, reporting enhancements, and scalability initiatives related to company growth.
• Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring that system changes are implemented with the necessary controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operations.
• Oversee support tickets and project tasks through a structured intake and prioritization process, proactively communicating status and expectations to stakeholders.
• 3-5+ years of practical experience in Workday Financials configuration and support, ideally in a business analyst or functional analyst role.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the capability to independently configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security.
• Proven ability to support daily Finance operations while also contributing to project-based tasks and strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills — adept at navigating competing priorities, managing expectations across Finance and IT, and communicating effectively at all levels.
• Experience in conducting business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and drafting functional design documents.
• Solid understanding of fundamental finance and accounting principles (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and their application in Workday configuration.
• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple open requests and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a history of establishing trusted relationships with Finance business partners.
