WordPress Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold high-quality CMS-driven web experiences that enhance BrowserStack’s worldwide marketing and product visibility.

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, designers, and product teams to deliver fast, responsive, and dependable WordPress solutions.

• Develop and manage WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.

• Transform designs and wireframes into responsive, production-ready pages.

• Construct reusable, clean, and maintainable front-end components.

• Integrate APIs and third-party tools seamlessly.

• Troubleshoot bugs and enhance performance, accessibility, and SEO.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to engineering best practices.

• Work in partnership with design, marketing, and product teams to quickly deploy features.

• Continuously enhance skills and knowledge through mentorship from senior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in building websites or web applications.

• Strong foundational knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with PHP and basic WordPress concepts (themes, plugins, CMS workflows).

• Experience in creating responsive, mobile-first web pages.

• Understanding of REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML).

• Basic knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts.

• Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Knowledge of MySQL or relational databases.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong willingness to learn, along with effective communication and collaboration skills.
