Field Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and field testing activities of Hydrogen Generating Equipment conducted by third parties to ensure compliance with Ohmium’s safety and quality standards and timely completion.

• Execute assigned tasks such as regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.

• Work safely outdoors in accordance with company policies, government regulations, and local jurisdiction standards.

• Manage shift operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.

• Carry out maintenance tasks following available documentation and established standards.

• Collaborate with contractors, customers, and the ROC to ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and punctually, following specific technical procedures.

• Possess basic knowledge in handling and utilizing electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation meters.

• Understand both electrical and mechanical components of the electrolyzer system.

• Assist in the development of documentation and standards.

• Conduct diagnostics on electrolyzers, RO water systems, filter systems, gas dryers, and high-pressure piping.

• Drive continuous improvements in processes and documentation to reduce waste and enhance reliability.

• Manage complex workflows, including the coordination of subcontractors and EPC partners/customers.

• Oversee spare part and tool kit inventories while striving to reduce operational costs.

• Maintain a clean and organized site.

• Register defects and material requirements as necessary.

• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Surpass and adhere to customer facility standards and policies.

• Interact with customers to support their needs effectively.

• Generate timely and detailed service reports.

• Participate in an on-call watch bill (standby status) and maintain the watch list.

• Operate a service vehicle safely and maintain a clean driving record.

• Operate H2 Gas Compressor at the site.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering or a related field in science and technology.

• 5-10 years of experience working with complex deployed systems, including erection, commissioning, testing, installation, maintenance, and operations.

• Preference will be given to candidates with maintenance/service/operation experience in oil & gas maintenance (as a contractor), industrial gases, solar plants, power plants, diesel generator set installations, compressors, gas, chemical, RO, or DM plants.

• Strong commitment to safety.
