This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Take full ownership of voicemod.net — design and manage custom themes, plugins, blocks, and the template system that drives our pages.
• Release with assurance — oversee the release cycle while prioritizing quality, performance, and security.
• Ensure the site remains fast and operational — collaborate with the CDN, enhance Core Web Vitals, and establish monitoring and alert systems to catch issues before they affect the business.
• Address technical debt — continue the transition of legacy pages from older frameworks to our current WordPress architecture.
• Collaborate with SEO — execute technical SEO requirements (structure, metadata, schema, redirects, on-page optimizations) in partnership with our SEO specialist.
• Support Marketing and Brand initiatives — create new landing pages (for launches, presales, campaigns), refine existing pages, and implement branding and design modifications.
• Conduct experiments — set up A/B tests on specific elements (CTAs, content, layouts) to allow the team to iterate based on data rather than opinions.
• Coordinate among stakeholders — convert business requests from Marketing, Design, Content, Brand, Legal, and Product into clearly defined technical tasks.
• Function within our workflows — utilize Notion for task definition and Jira for execution, actively participate in weekly team meetings, and maintain visibility of progress.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience as a WordPress Developer in a professional environment (agency, in-house, or serious freelance work).
• Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with extensive knowledge of WordPress's template system, hooks, and filters.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining custom themes and plugins — not merely configuring pre-existing themes.
• Strong grasp of web performance (caching, CDN, asset optimization, Core Web Vitals).
• Knowledge of technical SEO best practices (semantic structure, metadata, schema, sitemaps, redirects, indexation).
• Familiarity with Git and workflows based on pull requests.
• An ownership mindset — capable of taking charge of a project, identifying issues, proposing solutions, and executing independently without micromanagement.
• Professional level of English, both written and spoken (the team operates in English and Spanish).
• Flexible Working Hours ⏰ – Adapt your job to fit your lifestyle. You do you!
