WordPress Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web solutions utilizing WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — transforming Figma prototypes into responsive, production-ready implementations for both internal projects and client engagements, while leveraging Claude Code to enhance efficiency and code quality.

• Adhere to and enhance Technical Standards Operate within established technical guidelines and best practices, while actively participating in their continuous improvement. You create clean, maintainable code that withstands review — you only deliver work that you would proudly attach your name to.

• Collaborate and Communicate Engage closely with designers and senior developers during Figma handoff to grasp project scope, raise questions promptly, and execute tasks with confidence. You express yourself clearly in writing, ensuring that ambiguity does not develop into an issue.

• Domain and Infrastructure Support Assist with website hosting (Kinsta, WPEngine, etc.) and domain management (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Squarespace) tasks, while gaining a deeper understanding of best practices in performance, security, and uptime.

• Hands-On Development Conceptualize, develop, and maintain custom WordPress, Webflow, and Elementor websites from inception to launch — working directly from Figma prototypes to deliver responsive and precise implementations for both internal and client-facing projects, utilizing Claude Code as a productivity enhancer throughout.

• Optimize for SEO Apply technical and on-page SEO best practices to boost search performance, including site structure, schema markup, and enhancements in page speed.

• Troubleshoot and Grow Diagnose and rectify front-end and WordPress issues across various browsers and devices. Maintain a curious mindset — continuously exploring new tools and techniques, with a focus on AI tooling as part of your growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in WordPress Core Development.

• Proficient in WordPress development — including themes, plugins, and custom builds.

• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with Elementor — building and customizing beyond standard templates.

• Capability in Design-to-Build Figma — reviewing specifications, navigating prototypes, and executing builds independently without supervision.

• Familiarity with AI Tooling, particularly Claude Code — hands-on experience in a real production environment.

• Knowledge of hosting platforms such as Kinsta, WPEngine, or similar.

• Basic understanding of domain and DNS management — including Cloudflare, GoDaddy, or similar.
