WordPress Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee a high-volume ticketing system for website requests, which includes content modifications, layout adjustments, landing page creation, and minor feature enhancements.

• Execute WordPress updates, including theme and template modifications, custom CSS/HTML changes, as well as basic to intermediate PHP and JavaScript tweaks.

• Conduct comprehensive quality assurance for each modification: testing across various devices and browsers, and confirming the functionality of links, forms, menus, and interactive elements.

• Compose clear and professional summaries of completed tasks for internal evaluation before client delivery.

• Work collaboratively with internal developers and account managers to clarify project requirements and address edge cases.

• Actively identify technical risks, recurring problems, and areas for enhancement or standardization of templates and processes.

• Ensure the maintenance of clean, secure, and well-structured code and site organization throughout the portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in WordPress development with a solid understanding of themes, child themes, plugins, and custom post types.

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and basic to intermediate skills in PHP and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg) and the capability to go beyond their limitations when necessary.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client websites or a portfolio of WordPress properties.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a consistent practice of self-quality assurance prior to handoff.

• Clear and professional communication skills in both written and spoken English.

• Must possess prior experience in remote work, be adept with remote collaboration tools (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and have ideally collaborated with US or UK-based companies. Applications lacking this experience will not be considered.
