Women's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the care team, which includes OB/GYN providers, patients, social workers, licensed therapists, and coaches.

• Provide guidance to OB/GYN providers regarding suitable medications and treatment approaches.

• Directly see patients for short-term medication management during pregnancy, postpartum, and/or peri/menopause.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments via telehealth.

• Offer treatment recommendations for patients requiring more comprehensive mental health care.

• Execute pre-conception medication consultations and psycho-education for individuals attempting to conceive.

• Perform asynchronous consultations by reviewing clinical information related to caseloads.

• Collaborate with care managers to monitor patient caseload status and overall population health.

• Provide educational resources to the care team regarding behavioral health issues.

• Be available for occasional ad hoc consultations with OB providers for complex cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be an independently licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner in Connecticut.

• Capable of practicing independently without supervision in the state(s) of licensure.

• Must hold an active DEA license in the state(s) of licensure.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Maintain a positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset.

• Ability to swiftly synthesize medical and psychiatric information and develop effective, evidence-based clinical recommendations.

• Passionate, motivated, and inspired by a mission to enhance perinatal mental healthcare delivery, especially for vulnerable patient populations.

• Experience or interest in perinatal or perimenopausal mental health and collaborative care.
