This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Collaborate with site and hub leadership to fulfill contractual obligations in line with customer requirements and daily activities.
• Conduct maintenance, repairs, or part replacements to rectify malfunctions.
• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.
• Assist in all aspects of site operations as directed by the manager, ensuring adherence to safety protocols with minimal supervision.
• Carry out diagnostic electrical analyses as needed.
• Record all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Engage with GE’s remote operations center when required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associate Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs and ascend towers up to 300 feet daily.
• Meet specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300 lbs, including required gear.
• Willingness and ability to work in various environments, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.
• Effectively prioritize tasks according to contract obligations.
• Ability and readiness to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
• Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call as needed by the site.
