This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Evaluates and processes claims by collecting information and making informed conclusions.
• Oversees and assesses General Liability claims impacting primary and excess policies within a dynamic E&S Claim environment.
• Independently reviews information regarding coverage, liability, damages, and risk transfer to ascertain the level of exposure for the insured and all financial stakeholders.
• Manages litigation by providing exceptional claims service to clients, formulating and implementing litigation strategies, and overseeing legal budgets and lawsuits until resolution.
• Identifies where new loss claims should be filed.
• Utilizes discretion to provide the necessary information and/or correspondence to the Agent or Insurer for proper claims processing.
• Reviews claim coverage with insurance carriers to ensure accurate payment of claims.
• Evaluates the eligibility status of denied claims.
• Delivers excellent customer service and cultivates strong working relationships with insureds, brokers, and underwriters during the claims handling and adjudication process.
• Maintains the claims and suspense system, ensuring follow-up for the receipt of policies, endorsements, inspection reports, correspondence, claims, and other relevant documents from external sources.
• Processes all departmental claims promptly in accordance with company policy.
• Capable of attending mediations and trials as required.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business or equivalent professional experience.
• Valid New York adjuster license or New York attorney license.
• A minimum of three years of experience in claims handling, with knowledge of commercial and multi-line claims.
• Ability to critically analyze a claim file for pertinent information, accurately assess the data, and make necessary recommendations.
• Capacity to make independent decisions in accordance with CRC guidelines with little to no supervision.
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance and CRC processes.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and tact.
• Strong leadership capabilities to positively influence all departmental employees.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong computer and office skills.
