Wind Blade Technician II, III - Construction Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections of wind turbine blades and perform composite repairs to ensure safe and dependable operations.

• Execute both external and internal inspections of blades and assess any damage.

• Be knowledgeable about blade assembly terminology and repair methodologies.

• Carry out basic defect analysis.

• Finalize repair layouts and scarfing procedures.

• Accurately understand and mix chemicals according to approved ratios.

• Perform step sanding and angle beveling tasks.

• Implement vacuum bagging, lamination, and post-curing techniques.

• Execute fundamental repairs for balsa and foam cores.

• Apply fillers, gelcoat, and cosmetic finishes for repairs.

• Repair blade tips, including both leading edge (LE) and trailing edge (TE) sections.

• Install vortex generators (VGs), such as serrations, panels, fins, and flow anchors.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in accordance with company standards.

• Carry out additional assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Blade Technician II: Minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Blade Technician III: Minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Certification: GWO certification is preferred.

• Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening before hiring.

• This position is classified as safety-sensitive and may require ongoing drug testing in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
