This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and manage DNS and domain settings across registrars, ensuring that all modifications (MX, TXT, CNAME) undergo security validation prior to implementation.
• Set up and maintain standardized WordPress environments with secure configurations that comply with security guidelines.
• Perform timely updates for WordPress core, plugins, and themes within established maintenance periods.
• Address and resolve web-based vulnerabilities identified by security scanning tools.
• Manage CDN and WAF configurations (e.g., Cloudflare) to reduce DDoS attacks and guarantee secure, high-availability performance.
• Supervise the lifecycle management of SSL/TLS certificates to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for audits.
• Ensure all web properties are documented and kept up-to-date within GRC systems to meet HIPAA and SOC 2 audit requirements.
• Partner with marketing teams to securely implement tracking pixels and analytics tools without jeopardizing security or privacy.
• Collaborate closely with Cloud Security teams to enforce edge security measures and uphold web application protection policies.
• Monitor and maintain the overall health, performance, and security posture of the web infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Web Systems, or a related discipline.
• A combination of education and over 5 years of specialized experience in WebOps or Site Reliability Engineering may be accepted.
• Experience managing WordPress in regulated sectors such as healthcare or finance.
• In-depth understanding of DNS management, including DNSSEC, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Familiarity with CDNs and web security platforms like Cloudflare or Akamai.
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based hosting environments and SSL/TLS management.
• Experience collaborating with Security Operations or Cloud Security teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and incident response capabilities.
• Preferred Requirement(s): Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification.
• Experience with identity-aware proxies and edge security architectures.
• Cloudflare or a similar edge security/WAF certification.
• Experience supporting web environments compliant with HIPAA and SOC 2.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
