This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Provide on-site technical support to 15–20 rural communities and small water/wastewater systems, assisting in resolving public water supply and wastewater issues.

• Develop, prepare, and submit timely and precise reports, project documentation, and technical analyses (such as feasibility studies and rate analyses) to facilitate informed decision-making within the community.

• Establish and maintain robust relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders while coordinating meetings, training sessions, and community engagement initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, grant and contract requirements, and reporting standards, which includes the accurate tracking of time, expenses, and project documentation.

• Aid in program operations by managing various priorities, upholding confidentiality, contributing to communication and branding initiatives, and participating in meetings, events, and special projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Option A: Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, social sciences, management, public administration, or a related field is preferred, along with 1 year of experience.

• Option B: Current Water or Wastewater Operator Certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in operating and/or managing community environmental management systems.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

• Capable of delivering results in a highly self-directed environment that requires time and project management skills.

• Familiarity with basic financial statements, operational budgeting, and capital improvement project budgeting.

• Exhibit a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work products.

• Must possess a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record, and hold at least the minimum personal liability auto insurance coverage as required by the state.

• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
