This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and execute the multi-year technical roadmap, investment strategy, and lifecycle management for Aerospike’s core distributed database and its associated ecosystem.
• Convert platform objectives into a cohesive roadmap that encompasses various product domains.
• Make strategic investment choices that span new innovations, scalable platform solutions, multi-tenant cloud economics, and ultimate operational reliability.
• Perform regular market and competitive assessments to identify trends and guide strategic direction.
• Collaborate with engineering, field, marketing, customer success, and design teams to achieve coordinated and effective results.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of user needs and advocate for enhancements in user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
• Oversee a portfolio-level perspective across all related products, ensuring clarity of responsibility and collaboration.
• Prioritize initiatives and themes according to customer requirements, technical limitations, and business significance.
• Utilize product data, telemetry, and customer insights to guide the roadmap and measure success.
• Support long-term planning and roadmap formulation across multiple timelines.
• Serve as an executive sponsor and primary point of contact for key customers.
• Develop a thorough understanding of enterprise use cases, especially in hybrid and cloud-native environments.
• Represent the perspectives of developers and database operators in product decisions and core engineering processes, facilitating seamless deployment automation and exceptional observability within the platform.
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers across the portfolio.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators such as adoption rates, user satisfaction, and business value.
• Ensure continuous evaluation of product performance, quality, and customer impact.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to guarantee timely and high-quality product delivery.
• Equip sales engineering, marketing, and customer success teams with the necessary technical blueprints and value propositions to secure new customers and enhance enterprise adoption.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on enterprise software or data infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of interconnected products and teams.
• A strong foundation in distributed systems, database technologies, or Kubernetes-based environments.
• Familiarity with both self-managed and cloud delivery models is preferred.
• Understanding of enterprise IT requirements, including backup, restore, observability, and deployment automation.
