This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive privacy strategy that aligns with business objectives, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with international privacy legislation (e.g., SEC Regulation S‑P, GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, PIPEDA, and state-specific privacy laws), including oversight of AI tools, models, and workflows. Track regulatory updates and lead the organization in preparing for changes.
• Formulate, uphold, and enforce privacy policies, standards, and data management procedures throughout the organization, while also establishing compliance metrics and reporting on them.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), vendor risk evaluations, and audits. Identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
• Create and enforce AI-focused data management policies and controls, which encompass rules for input limitations, redaction, anonymization, retention, and secure storage of AI-generated or AI-processed data, alongside access management controls, monitoring, and employee training on the safe and compliant use of AI.
• Supervise processes related to data subject rights, consent management, data retention and deletion, breach response, privacy-by-design, and the use of data in AI applications.
• Support the management of privacy incidents, collaborating with security and communication teams.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Technology, the People Team, and Marketing to integrate privacy into systems, products, and workflows.
• Over 10 years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, cybersecurity, or related domains.
• Extensive understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, NIST Privacy Framework, ISO 27701).
• Demonstrated leadership experience in developing or scaling privacy programs.
• Solid grasp of data governance, information security, and risk management.
• Outstanding communication abilities with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is strongly preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent are highly desirable.
