VP of Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead Serve’s strategic approach to security encompassing corporate security, platform security, product, and robot security.

• Own and manage the security roadmap, driving progress on various initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with IT, Engineering, Product, and Platform teams.

• Enhance GRC maturity, which includes security policies and monitoring practices.

• Develop and refine incident response capabilities.

• Create and uphold security practices that facilitate operational support.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing security team.

• Convert complex security risks into straightforward business decisions and actionable advice.

• Set up metrics, dashboards, and reporting schedules.

• Assess and enhance security tools and operational processes.

• Provide support for executive leadership and board-level reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of advancing security experience, including leadership of security teams in rapidly growing technology firms.

• Experience as a senior security leader in a startup or scale-up atmosphere.

• Profound technical expertise across enterprise security, cloud security, endpoint security, and identity and access management.

• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance programs.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Product teams.

• Experience in developing and enhancing incident response programs, escalation procedures, and operational security controls.

• Strong comprehension of contemporary identity, access, monitoring, and endpoint ecosystems.

• Capability to prioritize effectively and make sensible risk decisions.

• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative leadership approach.
