This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the design, development, and operational excellence of cloud-native infrastructure and developer platforms.
• Supervise Kubernetes architecture, infrastructure-as-code strategies, CI/CD systems, observability, reliability engineering, and optimization of cloud performance.
• Define and implement a long-term vision for platform engineering across cloud, data, and application infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes (EKS) architecture, cluster strategy, governance across multiple environments, and workload isolation patterns.
• Propel modernization and simplification initiatives in infrastructure to mitigate technical debt and enhance scalability.
• Set engineering standards for the deployment of microservices, resource management, and platform resiliency.
• Direct the design of AWS infrastructure covering compute, storage, networking, and data services.
• Advance Infrastructure-as-Code maturity utilizing Terraform and GitOps methodologies.
• Guarantee that platform environments are secure, observable, and highly reliable.
• Oversee the CI/CD platform strategy and deployment pipelines to boost velocity and minimize operational friction.
• Enhance the developer experience through automated infrastructure tooling and self-service options.
• Provide architectural oversight for Spark-based distributed computing workloads.
• Establish SRE best practices encompassing SLOs, SLAs, incident management, and performance monitoring.
• Build and lead a high-performing Platform Engineering team.
• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or DevOps.
• 5+ years of experience leading platform or infrastructure teams at scale.
• Profound expertise in AWS architecture and cloud-native systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps.
• Knowledge of Spark, Airflow, and large-scale data processing systems.
• Experience in supporting Java-based microservices in containerized environments.
• Strong understanding of observability, performance engineering, and reliability principles.
• Demonstrated ability to scale infrastructure while enhancing operational efficiency.
• Exceptional executive communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
