VP of Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to promote the growth and profitability of the Business Units.

• Set both short-term and long-term objectives for the Business Units in accordance with the overall goals of the company.

• Discover and assess new business opportunities, partnerships, and market prospects.

• Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and high performance across all functions within multiple Business Units.

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and pinpoint areas for improvement within the portfolio.

• Apply best practices and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness throughout all Business Units.

• Promote a customer-focused culture within the Business Units, ensuring that customer needs and expectations guide decision-making.

• Lead initiatives to improve customer service, ensuring that client needs and expectations are consistently met or surpassed across the portfolio.

• Oversee the development and refinement of products across various Business Units, collaborating closely with engineering teams to innovate and enhance offerings.

• Manage the financial performance of the Business Units, which includes budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibilities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, and Platform & Payments to align strategies and achieve overarching business objectives.

• Create and execute strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals across the portfolio of Business Units.

• Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple Business Units, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages ongoing improvement and professional development across all Business Units.

• Establish performance targets and routinely assess team progress, providing feedback and guidance to maintain high standards across the portfolio.

• Promote a positive organizational culture by embodying and advancing our core values and behaviors, ensuring alignment with company standards and nurturing a collaborative, continuously improving, and high-performance environment.

• Represent the Business Units in executive meetings and contribute to company-wide initiatives and projects.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across all Business Units.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with the operations, products, and services of the Business Units.

• Implement and uphold robust internal controls and governance processes throughout the portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in a technology or software company.

• More than 3 years of experience managing multiple P&Ls or overseeing a portfolio of business units within a software company.

• Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role managing teams across various functions or business units.

• Leadership experience in appliance or service platforms is preferred.
