This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees a team of Scientific Associates and/or Associate Medical Directors, ensuring compliance with standards while delivering timely and high-quality work for effective agency representation.
• Validates, enhances, and promotes the clinical and medical relevance of projects across the agency, encompassing both existing client accounts and new business initiatives.
• Conducts comprehensive research to develop an understanding of a brand's position within the treatment paradigm, including its efficacy and safety data, mechanism of action, and key differentiators in the treatment landscape.
• Holds direct responsibility for contributing medical strategy to the agency's overall brand planning efforts, collaborating with Brand Strategy and Engagement Strategy, and providing ongoing support during the new business pitch preparation process.
• Guarantees the scientific and medical accuracy of both internal and external communications.
• Facilitates the onboarding of agency staff to their respective brand teams.
• Engages in daily collaboration with internal teams including Account, Strategy, Project Management, and Creative departments, as well as with clients.
• Delivers educational and strategic presentations to large groups, both internally and during client and new business presentations, which may involve individuals with diverse backgrounds and educational levels.
• An MD, PharmD, or PhD degree in a relevant scientific field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical advertising, medical communications, or medical education.
• Previous experience in managing a team of direct reports.
• Strong self-motivation and enthusiasm, with proven ability to excel in a detail-oriented, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.
• Working knowledge of clinical or pre-clinical research principles.
• Familiarity with PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, and other sources of clinical and scientific information.
• Capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where quick task delivery is expected.
• Proven ability to interpret data and provide clear strategic/scientific guidance to a diverse range of audiences.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including strong proficiency in relevant technologies (Microsoft applications, Keynote, Internet research databases).
