This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Integrate TechOps Organizations: Merge the infrastructure teams from acquired companies into a cohesive global unit with standardized processes, tools, titles, and culture.
• Foster Cultural Change: Cultivate a sense of urgency, ownership, and a proactive approach among all infrastructure teams worldwide, leveraging AI-enhanced workflows to boost efficiency.
• Structure Organizational Design: Develop a framework that simplifies operations and enhances speed, removing redundancies while establishing clear lines of ownership, accountability, and escalation for around 150 employees.
• Enhance Talent Pipeline: Lead workforce planning, skills enhancement, and talent acquisition to ensure the organization possesses the necessary capabilities for a modern, cloud-oriented infrastructure setting.
• Oversee Core Infrastructure: Manage and optimize both on-premises and cloud data centers, networking, server and container virtualization, operating systems, databases, and L3 customer system support.
• Spearhead Cloud Modernization: Direct cloud migration and modernization projects, fine-tuning the balance between on-premises and cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability.
• Establish Operational Excellence: Set and enforce SLAs, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity standards across the entire infrastructure landscape.
• Deploy Observability & Automation: Implement robust monitoring, observability, and automation to enhance system reliability and decrease mean time to resolution.
• Manage End-User Technology: Supervise employee hardware lifecycle management, productivity software deployment, and L2 internal user support for a global workforce.
• Promote AI Adoption: Encourage enterprise-wide utilization of AI-driven tools and agentic workflows within the infrastructure organization, fostering a culture of speed through intelligent automation.
• Optimize Enterprise Platforms: Manage and enhance the enterprise systems portfolio, including NetSuite (Finance), Coupa (Procurement), Workday (HR), and Salesforce (Sales), ensuring alignment with business processes and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, and Sales leadership to translate operational needs into system capabilities and promote adoption.
• Manage vendor partnerships, contract negotiations, and total cost of ownership for enterprise platforms.
• Implement a thorough quarterly planning process with a strong commitment to regular, predictable releases across all infrastructure services.
• Provide real-time updates to the executive team and organization on ongoing work, scheduled release dates, and capacity aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Create and maintain dashboards that offer real-time insights into infrastructure health, project delivery, and resource utilization.
• Enable top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency through infrastructure optimization, cost management, and strategic investment guidance.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in infrastructure technology leadership.
• More than 5 years in a VP or senior director capacity overseeing large, globally distributed infrastructure teams.
• Demonstrated success in transforming infrastructure organizations within multi-entity or post-acquisition scenarios.
• Extensive knowledge in data center operations, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, virtualization, container orchestration, and database management.
• Strong background in managing enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, or Coupa in a complex, multi-business-unit environment.
• Proven success in implementing operational excellence frameworks, including ITIL, SRE practices, and DevOps methodologies.
• Practical experience with or strong belief in AI-assisted tools and automation practices within infrastructure and operations teams.
• Outstanding leadership and team-building abilities, with the capability to inspire urgency, uphold high standards, and nurture talent across all levels.
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing C-suite decision-making and providing strategic advice.
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth settings, focusing on both growth and operational efficiency.
• Background in data-intensive or analytics-driven industries, particularly in automotive, financial services, or information services sectors (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
