This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Integrate TechOps Organizations: Merge the infrastructure teams from acquired entities into a unified global function with standardized processes, tools, titles, and culture.
• Foster Cultural Change: Promote a culture of urgency, ownership, and proactive action within all global infrastructure teams, leveraging AI-driven workflows to enhance operational velocity.
• Create Organizational Framework: Develop a structure that optimizes operations for speed, reduces redundancies, and clarifies ownership, accountability, and escalation pathways for around 150 employees.
• Cultivate Talent Pipeline: Lead workforce planning, skill enhancement, and talent recruitment to ensure that the organization possesses the necessary capabilities for a modern, cloud-oriented infrastructure environment.
• Manage Core Infrastructure: Oversee and optimize on-premises and cloud data centers, networking, server and container virtualization, operating systems, databases, and L3 customer system support.
• Promote Cloud Modernization: Spearhead cloud migration and modernization efforts, balancing on-premises and cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.
• Achieve Operational Excellence: Set and enforce SLAs, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity standards across the entire infrastructure ecosystem.
• Implement Observability & Automation: Introduce comprehensive monitoring, observability, and automation to enhance system reliability and decrease mean time to resolution.
• Oversee End-User Technology: Manage employee hardware lifecycle, productivity software deployment, and L2 internal user support for a global workforce.
• Advocate AI Integration: Propel enterprise-wide adoption of AI-powered tools and agentic workflows within the infrastructure organization, fostering a culture of velocity through intelligent automation.
• Enhance Enterprise Platforms: Supervise and refine the enterprise systems portfolio, including NetSuite (Finance), Coupa (Procurement), Workday (HR), and Salesforce (Sales), ensuring alignment with business processes and organizational needs.
• Collaborate with Business Leaders: Work closely with the leadership of Finance, Procurement, HR, and Sales to translate operational necessities into system capabilities and boost adoption.
• Manage Vendor Partnerships: Direct vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and total cost of ownership for enterprise platforms.
• Establish a thorough quarterly planning process with a strong commitment to regular, predictable releases across all infrastructure services.
• Provide Transparency: Ensure real-time visibility for the executive team and organization regarding work in progress, scheduled release dates, and capacity aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that offer real-time insights into infrastructure health, project delivery, and resource utilization.
• Drive top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency through infrastructure optimization, cost management, and strategic investment recommendations.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in infrastructure technology leadership.
• More than 5 years in a VP or senior director position managing large, globally distributed infrastructure teams.
• Proven track record of transforming infrastructure organizations in multi-entity or post-acquisition settings.
• Extensive expertise in data center operations, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, virtualization, container orchestration, and database management.
• Significant experience managing enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, or Coupa in a complex, multi-business-unit context.
• Demonstrated success in implementing operational excellence frameworks, including ITIL, SRE practices, and DevOps methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with or strong belief in AI-assisted tools and automation practices within infrastructure and operations teams.
• Outstanding leadership and team-building abilities, capable of instilling urgency, setting high expectations, and nurturing talent at all levels.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills, able to influence C-suite decision-making and provide strategic guidance.
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth contexts, emphasizing both growth and operational efficiency.
• Background in data-intensive or analytics-driven industries, especially within the automotive, financial services, or information services sectors (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
