This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Lead and expand the Finance team: oversee and develop the existing 2 Finance Managers, recruit 2 additional team members to double the team's size, and continue to scale as the company grows towards 200+ employees across various regions. Create a top-tier finance organization;
• Own the financial strategy of the company: spearhead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all business lines (Online, Card-Linked, Gift Cards) and regions (France, US, and future markets). Our current modeling method incorporates elasticity-based CAC projections, cohort-based revenue models, and detailed bottom-up cost budgets — you will take ownership and continuously enhance this;
• Be the financial representative at the leadership table: collaborate with the COO and co-founders on critical strategic decisions — market expansion, investment allocation, pricing, and prioritization of business lines;
• Manage investor relations: act as a primary contact for investors, shareholders, and bankers on all financial matters. Take charge of financial communication, reporting, and preparation for fundraising;
• Oversee multi-country P&L management: take ownership of consolidated and country-level P&Ls (France, US, and upcoming markets), including transfer pricing, cost allocation, and local compliance;
• Manage cash and working capital: ensure effective cash management across a complex business with various payment flows, Gift Cards working capital requirements, and multi-currency operations. Cash is paramount — ensure the entire company recognizes this;
• Own financial reporting and controls: be accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budget vs. actual tracking, and re-forecasts. Establish robust financial controls to prevent fraud and errors;
• Drive cost efficiency at scale: lead cost optimization initiatives throughout the organization, negotiate key contracts with suppliers, and ensure every team is responsible for their cost targets. We are transitioning to detailed bottom-up budgeting with clear ownership — you will champion this;
• Enhance accounting practices: promote disciplined monthly accounting closures across all regions (France, US, and future markets). Work towards group consolidation in line with international standards (IFRS) as we evolve into a multi-entity, multi-country organization. Ensure our accounting practices meet the expectations of a company with our ambitions;
• Utilize AI to revolutionize finance operations: we believe AI will fundamentally alter finance operations. You will be expected to lead this transformation — identifying areas where AI can automate repetitive tasks (reporting, reconciliation, data extraction), enhance decision-making (forecasting, anomaly detection, scenario modeling), and ultimately enable a lean team to function at the capacity of a much larger one. This is essential — we expect you to have a strong perspective on how AI will reshape the finance function and to actively promote its adoption within your team;
• Collaborate with external partners: manage relationships with our external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors. Oversee monthly accounting of the P&L and balance sheet, annual closing, and auditing of our financial statements;
• Languages: You are fluent in English (the primary language we use internally) and French (for interactions with our accountants and administration), both in written and spoken forms. International experience is highly valued as we expand across various markets.
• Experience: You possess 10+ years of experience that combines traditional finance (corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or audit) with a senior finance leadership role in a high-growth tech company or scale-up. We require both: the technical rigor from traditional finance and the practical experience of establishing a finance function in a rapidly scaling environment. You have a proven history of leading a team. Experience in scaling a company from tens of millions to hundreds of millions in revenue and/or operating in a multi-country or multi-entity context is a significant advantage.
• Strategic mindset: You approach challenges as a business partner, rather than merely a finance controller. You can connect financial analysis to business decisions and are comfortable challenging leadership with data-driven recommendations.
• Financial modeling and analysis: You possess deep expertise in financial planning and analysis. You are proficient in building and owning complex models — from cohort-based revenue projections to elasticity-based cost models. You can extract meaningful insights and create projections that aid in decision-making.
• Stakeholder management and communication: You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can present complex financial topics to a senior audience with clarity and confidence. You are not hesitant to defend and justify your decisions to demanding stakeholders, including co-founders, investors, and external partners.
• Accounting expertise: You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. You know the requirements for conducting rigorous monthly closings across multiple entities and regions, and you possess experience with or a clear vision for establishing group consolidation under international standards (IFRS).
• Operational rigor: You are structured, data-driven, and detail-oriented. You enjoy tackling complex problems by breaking them down into actionable components. You have a knack for identifying flaws and developing processes that prevent them.
• International finance: You have experience with or a strong interest in multi-country financial operations — including multi-currency management, international tax considerations, and building finance operations in new markets.
• AI-native mindset: You firmly believe that AI will revolutionize the finance function. You actively utilize AI tools in your current work, and you have a clear vision for how AI can automate, enhance, and accelerate finance operations — from reporting and reconciliation to forecasting and analysis. You are enthusiastic about creating an AI-first finance team.
• Mindset: You are passionate about Finance and dedicated to building something exceptional. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You possess an entrepreneurial mindset, enjoy being hands-on, and are energized by the prospect of scaling a company from tens of millions in revenue to billions.
• Flexible remote work: If you reside in Paris, you can choose to work from our office or remotely without restrictions. If you live elsewhere, we can provide access to a coworking space and a coworking budget.
• Work from anywhere: Want to spend a month in Italy while working? You can work from most countries worldwide for up to 3 months each year.
• Competitive compensation package
• Equity for all, offering the opportunity to own a piece of what you help build
• A half-day each week dedicated to enhancing your skills with AI by exploring new tools, iterating rigorously, and refining your expertise
• Annual offsite events in outstanding locations and a budget for team-building activities & monthly in-person gatherings
• Contribution to your ClassPass subscription
• 8 weeks of fully paid leave for the second parent
