Finance Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive financial planning and forecasting for both fiat and cryptocurrency, which includes assessing burn rate, runway, and scenario modeling.

• Establish and manage proprietary treasury capital for fiat and crypto, ensuring a well-diversified asset portfolio.

• Recognize financial risks and opportunities, and propose strategies for mitigation and growth.

• Ensure precise reporting of on-chain and off-chain transactions, token flows, and the accounting treatment of crypto assets.

• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit standards across various jurisdictions.

• Deliver clear financial insights and reporting to the COO, leadership team, board, and investors.

• Implement and enhance financial systems, tools, and internal controls to facilitate organizational growth.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to achieve high-quality execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or treasury, with a minimum of 3+ years specifically in the crypto/Web3 sector.

• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and forecasting, particularly in runway and token economics.

• Comprehensive understanding of treasury management and strategies for asset diversification.

• Strong grasp of GAAP/IFRS standards and accounting practices specific to cryptocurrency.

• Familiarity with international tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to crypto assets.

• Proven capability to design and enforce financial processes, policies, and risk management controls.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

• Leadership experience in managing finance teams and collaborating across various functions.
