VP, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the engineering strategy, set the architectural direction, and maintain high standards for code quality, reliability, and security.

• Lead and expand the engineering team through Engineering Managers by implementing the pod operating model.

• Deliver the V2 REST API interface, the OpenAPI specification, and the agent-readiness layer.

• Take ownership of engineering KPIs, including delivery velocity, system reliability, defect density, and hiring quality.

• Collaborate on diligence readiness, focusing on repository hygiene, IP assignment, and security posture for strategic transactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10 to 15+ years of experience in engineering leadership, having managed engineering teams of 30–50 individuals.

• Proven track record in scaling SaaS platforms within ecommerce, martech, or developer tools sectors.

• Strong viewpoints on API design and developer experience, including OpenAPI, REST conventions, and agent-tool patterns.

• Proficiency in modern tech stacks (knowledge of PHP/Node/React/Shopify ecosystem is advantageous).

• Ability to operate discreetly during exit processes.

• Extensive experience with large datasets and a solid expertise in database management.
