This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provides global leadership for the East Coast Regional Biotech business development team and sales portfolio.
• Ensures the attainment of gross authorization targets, profitability, and growth of new partnerships.
• Conducts strategic landscape analysis and implements a comprehensive sales plan for the portfolio.
• Monitors client assignments and staff performance to track the achievement of sales and authorization targets across accounts.
• Proactively addresses any variances.
• Establishes both short and long-term objectives for the business development team, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and goals.
• Guarantees consistent achievement of top-line sales goals and targeted profit contributions.
• Provides collaborative leadership with strategic partnerships, Biotech, alliance, and growth account teams, as well as operational colleagues to enhance and expand PPD’s service offerings and support strategic selling initiatives.
• Oversees profitability by monitoring profit and loss metrics.
• Achieves year-over-year financial growth while maintaining the quality of service to partner accounts.
• Evaluates client satisfaction and recommends improvements to ensure the overall success of the account.
• Remains informed about market trends and identifies opportunities for the expansion of additional partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 15+ years of experience in the CRO, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device sales industry, including 7+ years of sales management experience.
• Proven sales track record with extensive domestic geographic responsibility and account management experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and develop sales leads.
• Advanced leadership capabilities and business insight.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills.
• Solid competitive and business intelligence with the ability to translate strategies into profitability and business growth.
• Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management, along with profit and loss management skills.
