📋 Description

• Define and oversee the comprehensive AI strategy for Tempo, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the product roadmap.

• Identify and prioritize high-impact use cases in areas such as planning, forecasting, resource management, and productivity enhancement.

• Convert emerging AI capabilities into distinct product and platform opportunities.

• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership regarding AI investments and priorities.

• Collaborate closely with Product leadership to define and implement the AI roadmap across Tempo’s product offerings.

• Lead the development of intelligent features, including predictive insights, recommendations, and automation solutions.

• Create a scalable AI platform layer that accommodates multiple products and diverse use cases.

• Ensure AI functionalities are practical, user-friendly, and provide measurable value to customers.

• Build and manage a high-performing team specializing in GenAI, Agents, machine learning, data science, and applied AI engineering.

• Define the operational model, hiring strategy, and capability roadmap for AI initiatives at Tempo.

• Promote strong collaboration among Product, Engineering, Design, and Data teams.

• Enhance AI literacy throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with Data and Platform teams to establish robust foundations for AI development.

• Formulate strategies for data quality, governance, and model lifecycle management.

• Ensure the AI infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

• Establish best practices for the ethical, secure, and compliant application of AI.

• Maintain customer trust through transparency, privacy, and responsible model usage.

• Stay informed about regulatory and industry developments related to AI.

• Represent Tempo as a leader in AI within the Atlassian ecosystem and the broader SaaS industry.

• Engage with customers, partners, and industry communities.

• Provide external insights on trends, tools, and the competitive landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in implementing Generative AI and Machine Learning in software solutions.

• Proven leadership experience in building and scaling AI or data-driven product capabilities.

• Demonstrated success in delivering AI-powered features in SaaS or enterprise products.

• Experience operating at a senior leadership level.

• Strong understanding of contemporary AI/ML methodologies, including large language models (LLMs) and applied AI systems.

• Ability to integrate technical expertise with product vision and business outcomes.

• Experience with data platforms, experimentation, and large-scale model deployment.

• Strong executive presence with the capability to influence Product, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams.

• Experience in team building and attracting top-tier AI talent.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and cultivate clarity on a large scale.

• Customer-centric approach to AI, emphasizing genuine value over hype.
