Director of Data, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead enterprise data engineering and AI enablement projects that align with the business strategy.

• Design and enhance modern cloud-based data infrastructures, incorporating data lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming frameworks.

• Identify, prioritize, and execute impactful AI and machine learning applications throughout the organization.

• Establish responsible AI practices along with governance, security, and ethical standards.

• Offer strategic advice on AI opportunities and methods for implementation.

• Supervise data architecture, integration, governance, quality, and scalability.

• Build, mentor, and lead a top-performing team of data engineers and AI specialists.

• Manage technology vendors, cloud services, and AI tools that support enterprise capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of progressive leadership experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or AI.

• Proven experience in creating modern cloud-based data platforms and enterprise data solutions.

• Demonstrated success in leading AI or machine learning projects from strategy to execution.

• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Certifications in Cloud, Data, or AI are advantageous.
