Virtualization Backup Engineer, German Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Conducting troubleshooting and analysis, which includes investigating log files.

• Serving as a technical point of contact for collaboration with fellow IT professionals.

• Taking full ownership of customer issues from the initiation of a support case to its resolution, troubleshooting both within Veeam and third-party components from Microsoft and VMware, determining if the issue is known or unknown, identifying defects or misconfigurations, correcting them as part of break/fix scenarios, and educating the customer regarding the process and interactions involved.

• Accurately documenting all customer interactions within the stipulated SLA in our CRM tool.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English and German (reading, writing, and speaking).

• Advanced user or administrative proficiency in the following areas: Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025, Windows 10 / 11.

• Practical understanding of TCP/IP (operating systems and firewall configurations) along with networking configuration and troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS).

• Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux, VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange server administration, and database engines (SQL/Oracle) is a plus.

• Capacity to rapidly learn, comprehend, and articulate technical information.

• A strong inclination and ability to take responsibility for client issues until resolution.

• Outstanding time management abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a high-paced work environment.
