Virtualization Backup Engineer, French Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Conducting troubleshooting and analysis, which includes investigating log files.

• Serving as a technical point of contact in collaboration with fellow IT professionals.

• Assuming responsibility for customer problems or issues from the initiation of a support case through to resolution, performing troubleshooting on our end (within Veeam) as well as on third-party components from Microsoft and VMware, determining whether the issue is known or unknown, identifying if it’s a defect or caused by misconfiguration, rectifying it as a break/fix scenario, and educating the customer by clarifying the process and interactions involved.

• Accurately documenting all customer interactions within the service level agreement (SLA) using our CRM tool.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both French and English (reading, writing, speaking).

• Advanced user or administrative experience in the following areas: Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025, Windows 10 / 11.

• Practical understanding of TCP/IP (operating systems, firewall configurations) as well as networking configuration and troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS).

• Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux, VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange server administration, and database engines (SQL/Oracle).

• Capability to rapidly learn, comprehend, and explain technical information.

• Willingness and motivation to take ownership of client issues until resolution.

• Strong time management skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
