Virtual Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual speech therapy sessions that are centered around students and aligned with IEP goals.

• Perform thorough speech-language assessments using Parallel’s unique Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, assess, and enhance Individualized Education Programs.

• Engage in IEP meetings and provide focused case management for students designated as “Speech Only” when necessary.

• Methodically track session data and student advancements to facilitate meaningful IEP consultations.

• Create comprehensive, goal-focused progress reports for each reporting period.

• Offer specialized services specific to each state, including AAC support, Pre-K interventions, speech screenings, and SLPA supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

• Current SLP license in New York.

• At least 1 year of full-time experience in a school setting providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations (post-CFY); 2+ years preferred for case management roles.

• Proven knowledge of the IEP process, educational eligibility assessments, and the ability to write detailed evaluation reports.

• Experience with Medicaid billing systems is highly beneficial.

• Outstanding communication skills and the capacity to connect with students from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Proficient in using virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation tools.

• Availability during regular school hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).

• Multilingual abilities are regarded as a significant advantage.
