Virtual Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual speech therapy sessions that are centered around the student and aligned with IEP goals.

• Perform in-depth speech-language evaluations utilizing Parallel’s exclusive Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, oversee, and enhance Individualized Education Programs.

• Attend IEP meetings and provide dedicated case management for “Speech Only” students as necessary.

• Methodically track session data and student progress to provide valuable insights during IEP consultations.

• Create comprehensive, goal-focused progress reports for each reporting period.

• Offer specialized state-specific services, including AAC support, Pre-K interventions, speech screenings, and SLPA supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

• Current SLP license in Mississippi.

• At least 1 year of full-time school-based experience in conducting IEP-directed therapy and evaluations (post-CFY); 2+ years of experience is preferred for case management roles.

• Proven knowledge of the IEP process, educational eligibility determinations, and the ability to write thorough evaluation reports.

• Previous experience with Medicaid billing systems is highly beneficial.

• Outstanding communication skills with the capability to establish rapport with students from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Proficient in technology with experience using virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation.

• Availability during standard school hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).

• Multilingual proficiency is considered a significant advantage.
