Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care utilizing a remote technology platform.

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage health conditions for patients aged 18 months and older.

• Offer health counseling, patient education, and planning for patient disposition.

• Deliver counseling on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, safer-sex practices, contraceptive care, and medication management.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients.

• Educate patients on maintaining health and address their care-related inquiries.

• Record all patient interactions in an EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic's policies and procedures.

• Collaborate on patient care with both internal and external colleagues, including the broader patient-centered medical home.

• Participate in a patient-care team alongside Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Operate independently, effectively prioritize tasks, resolve issues, take initiative, and advocate for both patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of relevant medical experience or an equivalent background.

• A current, unrestricted license in Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas.

• Willingness and ability to secure additional licensure upon hiring.

• Completion of a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current National Board Certification.

• State license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

• Minimum availability of 9 hours per week, including every third weekend.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks.

• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Capability to work autonomously and practice without direct supervision.

• Proficiency in information management and technology.

• Ability to work collaboratively with professional colleagues to ensure high-quality care.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be required.

• Reliable broadband connectivity and a quiet environment with a neutral background for remote consultations.

• Commitment to maintaining patient privacy in line with CVSH guidelines.

• Skills to interact remotely with clients, operate a computer and phone, communicate effectively, and listen to patient feedback.

• Capacity to view and read information on a computer screen and other electronic devices.
