Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide patient care services through a remote technology platform.

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care independently, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health problem management, health counseling, and disposition planning.

• Offer education and treatment focused on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients.

• Conduct patient counseling, contraceptive care counseling, and medication management.

• Educate patients on health maintenance and address patient care inquiries.

• Record all patient care activities within an EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.

• Coordinate patient care with both internal and external colleagues, including the broader patient-centered medical home.

• Collaborate within a patient care team comprising Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.

• Operate independently, prioritize tasks, resolve problems, take initiative, and advocate for patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current, unrestricted license in Florida, Ohio, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.

• Willing to obtain additional licensure if hired.

• At least two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Capacity to work autonomously without direct supervision.

• Proficient in information management and technology.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues to ensure high-quality care.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be required.

• Completion of a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current National Board Certification.

• Valid state license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Must have broadband connectivity, a quiet environment with a neutral background, and the ability to maintain patient privacy for remote care delivery.

• Availability to work 36–40 hours per week, including every other weekend.
