This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Models and trains team members in the principles and practices of Positive Behavior Support methodology.
• Acts as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs), offering expertise on behavioral concerns.
• Responsible for the assessment, design, training, monitoring, and reporting of Behavior Plans.
• Conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments (e.g., analogue), including functional analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the findings.
• Delivers direct behavioral treatment to clients through replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group behavioral treatment, individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching in all relevant settings.
• Participates in an on-call rotation for behavioral issues.
• Monitors the use of restraints and provides training to minimize their occurrence.
• Oversees challenging behaviors.
• Engages in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other pertinent committees as assigned.
• Provides individualized services tailored to meet the treatment needs of each patient in the specialty intermediate care (IC) clinic, ensuring compliance with 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as necessary.
• Learns and adheres to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
• Specialized training and/or experience in basic applied behavior principles, including plan implementation, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.
• A minimum of two years’ experience with the specified population, particularly individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Continuing Education Training - Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training related to behavioral supports through courses, seminars, or conferences, as well as training provided by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to individuals and other staff members.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; ability to address problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Capability to make independent decisions with sound judgment and attention to detail.

• Education: Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Computer Skills/Data Entry: Must be able to record and enter data neatly, accurately, and objectively, in accordance with Oakwood requirements.
