Virtual ASL Educator – New Jersey Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual instruction to students via live-streaming sessions.

• Support students in reaching course completion.

• Deliver the school district’s curriculum through the district's virtual platform.

• Participate in district professional development and faculty meetings.

• Document student progress effectively.

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is present with students.

• Foster creativity and enthusiasm within the virtual learning environment.

• Develop strategies to engage students and enhance their learning experiences and relationships.

• Design lesson plans that are in alignment with the curriculum.

• Monitor student grades and overall performance.

• Choose available educator positions through the educator portal.

⛳️ Requirements

• New Jersey Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing or ASL certification is mandatory.

• A valid USA state-issued teaching certification is required.

• Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is compulsory.

• Experience at the elementary level is preferred.

• Must have a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.

• Participation in a virtual skills teaching demonstration is required.

• A background check must be submitted as part of the application process.

• Previous online teaching experience is advantageous.
