This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, manage, and enhance strategic relationships with carriers operating in the commercial trucking sector.
• Secure and oversee brokerage appointments and placement connections with key carrier partners across admitted and E&S markets.
• Act as the main point of contact for carrier partners; actively communicate regarding portfolio performance, market trends, and growth initiatives.
• Monitor shifts in carrier appetite and adjust distribution strategies accordingly.
• Own wholesale production targets and spearhead efforts to increase gross written premium through broker channels.
• Build and sustain a network of producers within the commercial trucking segment.
• Devise and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches and geographic expansion.
• Identify and pursue fresh distribution opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships.
• Track production pipeline, submission activity, and bind ratios; regularly report to leadership on performance against targets.
• Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to guide product development and pricing strategies.
• Represent Breakwater Markets at industry events, conferences, and association meetings pertinent to commercial trucking and wholesale distribution.
• 8+ years of experience in commercial trucking insurance, with a solid foundation in wholesale brokerage, MGA, or carrier distribution.
• Proven track record of establishing and managing carrier relationships and driving production in a wholesale or MGA setting.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial auto and trucking insurance products, market dynamics, and the regulatory environment.
• Existing connections with carriers active in the commercial trucking sector are highly preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret loss data, production metrics, and market trends.
• Outstanding communication and relationship management skills; capable of influencing at the executive level both internally and externally.
• Active P&C insurance license (or the capability to obtain one promptly upon hire).
