This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and lead the long-term engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Collaborate with executive leadership (CTO, Product, Sales, and Sales Ops Leaders) to align technology initiatives with business goals.
• Assess emerging technologies (Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, MCP, automation platforms) and convert them into quantifiable business value.
• Spearhead technology transformation, modernization, and innovation initiatives.
• Oversee the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), including architecture, development, testing, release, and operations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, secure, and reliable software systems.
• Establish and monitor engineering KPIs (velocity, quality, uptime, cost efficiency).
• Create an AI-first software engineering framework that utilizes GenAI-assisted development, intelligent testing, code generation, documentation, and deployment automation to enhance developer productivity and software quality significantly.
• Drive architectural decisions, platform strategy, and technology standards.
• Ensure the adoption of modern engineering practices (cloud-native, microservices, DevOps, CI/CD, AI integration where applicable).
• Balance build versus buy decisions to optimize technology investments.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to provide customer-focused solutions.
• Partner with sales and sales ops teams to gather customer feedback and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Work with Security, Infrastructure, Data, and Operations to ensure integrated delivery and governance for responsible AI.
• Align with finance and business leaders on budgeting and ROI for investments.
• Establish governance, processes, and best practices for engineering operations.
• Improve engineering productivity, quality, and predictability.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and external partnerships.
• Build, lead, and scale high-performing engineering teams across diverse disciplines while nurturing an AI-first culture that emphasizes continuous learning and upskilling.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent while ensuring succession plans and leadership pipelines are in place.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience in leading distributed engineering teams in the US and internationally.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, enterprise-scale or high-growth SaaS platforms with high availability, scalability, and performance (SLA & RTO).
• Experience in developing AI-enabled customer-facing products or integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Proven track record in setting up frameworks that establish delivery predictability and improve cycle times.
• Strong foundation in modern software architectures (AWS, APIs, MCPs).
• Proficiency in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI application architecture, integrating AI services, and responsible AI practices/governance.
• Experience in B2B frontend UI, backend microservices, and batch job development.
• Knowledgeable in REST, Node.js, React, Python, Terraform, and AWS RDS.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
