This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Propel projects with organization and energy, removing uncertainty and instilling confidence among delivery teams and client stakeholders.
• Serve as the technical liaison for client stakeholders: identifying subtle aspects of business needs; translating requirements into actionable items; conveying available options and our recommendations in straightforward language; explaining how the devised solution aligns with business objectives; fostering a relationship as a trusted advisor.
• Evaluate current systems and suggest enhancements in system architecture, development, and deployment processes.
• Develop technical designs for systems based on desired functionalities and project constraints like budget and timeline.
• Anticipate risks, identify gaps, and recognize opportunities, crafting solutions in uncertain scenarios before they necessitate escalation.
• When a client or project requires knowledge in an unfamiliar technical area, take the initiative to bridge the gap, acquiring knowledge as needed and adjusting in real time.
• Supervise and engage in implementation, including mentoring and providing guidance to development staff on a project.
• Oversee the deployment of systems and ensure capabilities for maintenance and support are in place.
• Generate high-level estimates to inform project planning.
• Create technical documentation.
• Ensure development activities adhere to the designed architecture and maintain code and system quality.
• Manage AI agents utilized by the project team, including configuration, refinement, and enhancement of these tools, establishing standards and limitations for their use across the team, and mentoring team members on their application.
• Govern AI agent economics at the architectural level: caching strategies, model tiering, and fallback patterns that maintain performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist with implementation proposals and estimates for project proposals and RFP responses.
• Contribute to the ownership and advancement of technical tools and practices within the organization, including enhancements to the software development lifecycle and workflows.
• Mentor and support junior members of the engineering team in roles such as manager, mentor, technical resource, or career coach.
• Must meet all qualifications for a Senior Developer.
• 6+ years of industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Capability to design system architecture and evaluate technology suitability for requirements, with the ability to balance delivery, infrastructure, language, and architectural considerations.
• Well-versed in architectural patterns and capable of identifying suitable patterns for project implementation.
• Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms.
• Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting technical issues, and identifying appropriate solutions that consider the broader impact on functionality and overall usability.
• Proficient in requirements extraction and analysis.
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts, including technical information, by adjusting messages to the audience and context, and identifying technical solutions to meet business needs.
• Capable of bridging technical and business discussions, translating client business objectives into engineering execution.
• Demonstrated experience with LLMs, AI coding agents, and prompt engineering.
• Awareness of security and compliance considerations in system design, ensuring they are adequately addressed throughout the project.
