This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.
• Develop and take charge of the strategy for how Nava's Product practice integrates AI, including spotting opportunities, initiating pilot projects, scaling successful practices, and embedding AI-informed workflows throughout product teams.
• Articulate Nava's perspective on AI in government product delivery, focusing on the evolution of product competency as AI merges product, design, and engineering.
• Define the development and governance of AI products and services within regulated public-sector settings.
• Keep the practice at the cutting edge of modern product team dynamics, converting emerging methodologies into repeatable capabilities.
• Own the product strategy for capabilities and solutions that set Nava apart from its competitors.
• Establish the direction for the go-to-market strategy for Nava's offerings, driving decisions and ensuring accountability throughout the process.
• Supervise efforts to achieve product-market fit for new offerings and reusable assets.
• Determine areas where the practice should invest to enhance its expertise, methodologies, and capabilities.
• Convert delivery insights into opportunities and strengthen Nava's competitive positioning.
• Provide product expertise to identify growth opportunities, including organic expansion and formal procurements.
• Identify and assign subject matter experts from the Product practice to support business development proposals.
• Ensure teams implement Nava's cross-functional delivery model to create modern, user-centered products that yield strong outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with portfolio VPs/directors and program managers in Program Delivery to guarantee seamless delivery and effective staffing across contracts.
• Act as a senior escalation point for any concerns regarding product management performance and delivery.
• Establish the standards of excellence, career advancement, and leveling for product management and policy strategy at Nava.
• Lead Product Directors who manage day-to-day operations, mentoring, staffing, and development within the practice.
• Take responsibility for retention, engagement, performance, and cultivating a healthy leadership pipeline.
• Promote a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Chief Delivery Officer and executive leadership on product strategy and the practice's direction.
• Build trustworthy relationships with senior client stakeholders where product leadership is essential.
• Represent Nava as a credible authority on product delivery and AI in government settings.
• Over 10 years of experience in product management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing product leaders (not just individual contributors).
• Proven experience leading a large team or department, including hiring, staffing, performance management, and career development.
• Successful track record in establishing product-market fit and shaping go-to-market strategies for new products and platforms.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern product management practices.
• Demonstrated leadership in AI within a product organization, including setting and executing AI strategy, scaling AI workflows across various product teams, and developing AI products.
• Experience in digital services, software delivery, or government modernization initiatives.
• Background in leading billable or client-deployed personnel in a professional services context.
• Experience working with federal, state, and/or local government programs.
