Vice President, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership in technical accounting support throughout the organization and collaborate with both domestic and international subsidiaries to synchronize accounting analyses, considerations, conclusions, and reporting impacts.

• Offer expert guidance and draft accounting position papers and memos related to complex transactions, including joint ventures, consolidation analyses, leasing, equity-based compensation, derivatives, business combinations, and fair value assessments.

• Act as the primary accounting resource for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital market transactions.

• Lead the evaluation and interpretation of accounting implications arising from differences between U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards.

• Oversee the implementation of new U.S. GAAP accounting standards and the application of accounting policies.

• Supervise and manage periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

• Facilitate audit support by coordinating with external auditors, ensuring accountability for audit results, resolving judgmental issues, and aligning on technical positions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related area.

• More than 10 years of progressive experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting, preferably in a multinational public company context.

• At least 6 years of experience in audit or accounting consulting, with a strong preference for a Big 4 firm background.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, technical accounting research, and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
