This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and uphold high standards for delivery speed, quality, and predictability throughout all engineering teams.
• Enhance the processes, practices, and accountability frameworks that facilitate consistent execution at scale, including the adoption of CI/CD and a shift-left quality ownership approach.
• Propel the organization’s transition towards modern, cross-functional product teams; collaborate closely with product leadership to foster iterative, cooperative working methods with swift feedback mechanisms.
• Take ownership of the 6–24 month technology roadmap: articulate our desired future state, clarify tradeoffs, and develop a feasible plan by working backward.
• Provide architectural vision and oversight across the organization; ensure that engineering investments are aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Collaborate closely on the infrastructure and security strategy, ensuring the long-term viability and resilience of our systems.
• Lead the development of AI-driven products alongside product and data teams.
• Continue to integrate AI-based development practices within engineering to enhance team capabilities and throughput.
• Act as a key member of the technology leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction of the overall technology organization.
• Over 15 years of experience in software engineering, with substantial time spent in senior engineering leadership roles (director level and above).
• Proven experience in leading organizations across multiple functions — including product engineering, QA, data, and infrastructure.
• A history of successfully delivering products, not merely managing roadmaps.
• Extensive experience in building AI-driven products, leading teams in this area, and incorporating AI tools into engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in agile and product engineering principles, with the ability to coach and exemplify them across the organization.
• Exceptional executive communication skills.
• Strong instincts in people management.
• An innate collaborator who fosters trust across various functions and levels.
• Comfortable working in a mid-sized company where leaders are closely engaged with the work.
