This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and implement a multi-year engineering strategy that aligns with the objectives of the company.
• Lead, organize, and continuously enhance a large international engineering team across various regions.
• Act as a senior advisor to executive leadership regarding technology, scalability, and investment decisions in engineering.
• Oversee engineering preparedness for high-volume production, focusing on stable ramps, yield optimization, cost efficiency, and quality.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators, including yield, reliability, cycle time, time-to-market, and cost efficiency.
• Drive structured problem-solving initiatives and serve as the final escalation point for complex production or field-related issues.
• Ensure that robust engineering processes facilitate a smooth transition from development to volume manufacturing.
• Lead cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) execution, balancing speed, risk management, and quality.
• Serve as the executive-level engineering liaison for strategic customers and external partners.
• Cultivate a performance-oriented engineering culture with defined accountability and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Over 15 years of professional experience in engineering.
• A substantial portion of that experience in high-volume manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proven leadership experience at the Director, Senior Director, or Vice President level.
• A demonstrated history of delivering and scaling high-volume wafer test equipment solutions.
• Experience in leading large, global engineering teams across multiple locations and time zones.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage in-depth while operating at the executive level.
• Robust business acumen and experience collaborating closely with manufacturing, operations, and customers.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting at the C-level and with external stakeholders.
• A degree in Engineering or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
