This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Develop and oversee the organization's business development and market strategy.
• Identify and seek out new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and commercial agreements.
• Structure and negotiate intricate, long-term agreements with partners, clients, and service providers.
• Establish and maintain a robust external network across pertinent industries and stakeholder groups.
• Conduct continuous market analysis and competitive intelligence to guide strategic direction.
• Create risk identification and mitigation frameworks related to commercial exposure.
• Represent the organization at industry events to enhance brand positioning.
• Recruit, cultivate, and lead a business development team over time.
• Serve as a vital member of the senior leadership team.
• Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial strategy, or a related role.
• Proven history of developing and managing large-scale, long-term commercial agreements.
• Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to think and operate across extended time horizons.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team building and performance management.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a lean, growth-stage environment.
• Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Post-graduate degree or executive education credentials are preferred.
• Experience in capital-intensive or project-driven industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with complex multi-party contracting structures is preferred.
• International commercial experience is preferred.
