
Vice President, AI Business Development – Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Spearhead the global AI business development strategy that aligns with corporate growth goals and AccuWeather's AI and data roadmap.
• Identify, assess, negotiate, and finalize strategic AI partnerships, including LLM platforms, generative AI firms, enterprise SaaS providers, hyperscale cloud collaborators, and data licensing entities.
• Create revenue-generating AI data licensing agreements by utilizing proprietary weather datasets, real-time forecasting systems, and predictive analytics capabilities.
• Structure intricate commercial agreements that encompass data licensing, revenue sharing, API partnerships, co-development agreements, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
• Partner with Product and Technology leadership to transform AI capabilities into scalable commercial offerings and solutions ready for partners.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with senior executives across the AI and technology landscape to establish AccuWeather as the go-to partner for weather intelligence and environmental data.
• Guide cross-functional deal teams through evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and execution processes.
• Keep abreast of AI market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to shape partnership strategies and investment priorities.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing business development team focused on AI.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or advanced technical degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development, with a strong emphasis on AI, data, or technology-driven sectors.
• Proven success in structuring and concluding complex strategic partnerships involving AI platforms, data licensing, APIs, or enterprise technology solutions.
• Experience in negotiating multi-year commercial contracts with global technology companies.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience in developing business cases, revenue models, and partnership frameworks.
