VFX Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Create and implement high-quality real-time visual effects utilizing Unreal Engine’s Niagara and Cascade systems.

• Work collaboratively with the art director, designers, and Unreal Engine developers to realize the visual direction of a project.

• Enhance VFX assets for optimal performance while preserving visual excellence across multiple platforms.

• Develop shaders and materials through Unreal Engine’s Material Editor to enable intricate VFX systems.

• Incorporate VFX into game environments, ensuring smooth interaction with characters and gameplay elements.

• Revise work based on feedback from team members, balancing artistic intent with technical constraints.

• Maintain documentation outlining workflows, tools, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Unreal Engine, particularly the Niagara VFX system.

• Solid grasp of particle systems, physics-based simulations, lighting, and post-processing effects.

• Experience in shader development and material creation within Unreal Engine.

• Familiarity with game development workflows and performance optimization techniques.

• Knowledge of 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or Houdini is advantageous.

• A keen artistic sense for motion, color, composition, and timing.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
