• Design and produce high-quality, real-time visual effects utilizing a proprietary game engine.
• Collaborate with Creative Leads to create captivating VFX for exciting new features within an existing intellectual property.
• Work alongside tech artists and programmers to troubleshoot and achieve visual and performance objectives within the engine.
• Be adept at managing your workflow from asset creation through to in-engine implementation, while effectively collaborating with various disciplines within the team.
• Assume responsibility for all VFX-related tasks, operate independently with minimal oversight, and provide timely updates on deliverables.
• Utilize creative repurposing of existing VFX assets, including textures and materials, to generate new assets from extensive libraries.
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in creating VFX for video games.
• Strong knowledge of 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, as well as 2D software including Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer.
• A solid understanding of timing and form in visual effects.
• Proficient in developing shaders and materials suited for real-time visual effects.
• Experience with dynamic FX scaling and runtime variable integration.
• Skilled in optimization techniques for visual effects.
