This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create around six detailed veterinary case studies each year for publication on the client's website.
• Engage in and assist with interviews involving treating veterinarians and other pertinent stakeholders.
• Formulate insightful editorial questions that align with the medical inquiries posed by the client's veterinary specialists.
• Recognize the most compelling narrative aspects of each case, encompassing events, clinical complexities, interventions, expert insights, and outcomes.
• Convert intricate veterinary toxicology data into precise, engaging, and accessible editorial content.
• Primarily write for veterinary professionals while ensuring that the stories are beneficial and comprehensible for pet owners.
• Highlight the value the client delivers to veterinary teams through specialized toxicology knowledge and consultation.
• Perform additional research as necessary to create accurate and comprehensive stories.
• Integrate feedback from veterinary subject matter experts and internal stakeholders during the revision process.
• Attend regular status meetings as needed.
• Potentially suggest strategies for distributing and promoting stories via owned channels and other suitable media opportunities.
• Proven experience in writing about veterinary medicine, animal health, pet health, or closely related clinical subjects.
• Strong comprehension of veterinary professionals as the intended audience.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate complex veterinary medical information.
• Exceptional editorial storytelling and long-form writing capabilities.
• Experience conducting interviews with veterinarians, clinicians, subject matter experts, or other technical professionals.
• Skill in developing interview questions that reveal clinical context and engaging narrative details.
• Strong research, fact-checking, and synthesis abilities.
• Capability to balance professional veterinary terminology with accessibility for non-clinical readers.
• Comfortable collaborating with veterinary experts and integrating technical feedback.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to act as an extension of the client's team.
• Credentials in veterinary, pet health, pet nutrition, pet first aid, animal health, or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Relevant veterinary or pet-health bylines and portfolio samples are highly desirable.
• Experience in writing case studies, clinical stories, editorial features, or similar narrative content is strongly preferred.
• A human-centric approach to writing is strongly favored.
• Original reporting, judgment, and storytelling must not be substituted by AI-generated content.
