This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Promote, quote, negotiate, and secure new and renewal commercial casualty business.
• Assess submissions to determine suitable markets, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions.
• Negotiate intricate renewals and new placements with insurance carriers and wholesale markets.
• Review quotes and contract details, presenting pricing, coverage, and terms.
• Request, evaluate, and analyze additional risk information to aid underwriting decisions.
• Manage policies from start to finish, including recommendations, binding, invoicing, and issuance.
• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and current carrier partners.
• Establish new carrier relationships to enhance market access and placement options.
• Ensure precision and compliance within agency management systems and documentation.
• Inspect policies for accuracy and address discrepancies.
• Prepare submissions, reports, cover letters, and other related documentation.
• Remain updated on industry trends, market changes, and best practices in commercial property.
• Engage in professional development and team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Offer technical expertise and assist the Broker in managing a profitable portfolio.
• Address client inquiries and accurately process routine and complex transactions.
• Active State Property & Casualty license and/or Surplus Lines license.
• Over 3 years of experience in wholesale casualty insurance brokerage.
• Capacity to execute tasks immediately.
• Strong foundation in Commercial Casualty placements.
• Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced brokerage workflows for large, complex commercial casualty accounts.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills with insurance carriers and wholesale markets.
• High degree of accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently in a fully remote setting while maintaining high responsiveness.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
• Industry designations such as CIC, CISR, AAI, or progress toward CPCU are preferred.
• Established relationships with carriers in the commercial property and casualty marketplace are preferred.
