Veterans Disability Legal Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intricate medical and military records, along with VA decisions, to determine the most effective legal approach.

• Formulate legal strategies for Veterans Disability appeals.

• Analyze VA Rating Decisions, Board decisions, C&P examinations, medical records, military records, and claims files.

• Assess evidentiary strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to enhance claims.

• Identify suitable legal theories, appeal options, and recommend subsequent steps.

• Consistently apply VA statutes, regulations, case law, and firm strategy standards across a large volume of cases.

• Make quick, independent legal decisions while ensuring exceptional quality and precision.

• Clearly and accurately document legal strategies within the firm’s case management system.

• Work collaboratively with drafting attorneys and operations to ensure effective execution of strategic recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Current license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Strong skills in legal analysis, critical thinking, and issue identification.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Capability to independently handle a high-volume workload.

• Outstanding written communication and documentation abilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to make sound legal decisions efficiently while meeting production expectations.

• Prior experience with Veterans Disability law, administrative law, or appellate practice is preferred.

• Familiarity with reviewing medical records and complex evidentiary files is preferred.

• Experience in a high-volume legal practice is preferred.

• Knowledge of VA regulations, disability ratings, and appeals is preferred.

• Military service or an understanding of military culture is preferred.
